Iraq’s crude oil export hit a new record
It grew up to 3,10 million barr/day for one month.
According to the analysts, if Iraq keeps export at the same level within the remaining days, the July record in 2015 of 3,064 million barr/day will become a history.
It’s to be recalled that in June 2015 Iraq set a plan to increase export for 3,3 million barr/day.
The increase is due in part to the spilling of Basra crude into two grades, Basra Heavy and Basra Light.
Such split allowed some companies operating Iraqi oil fields to increase their production.
Deliveries from Iraq northern terminals via Ceyhan port in Turkey has also grown.
Independent Kurdish export was 510000 barr/day on average for the first 27 days of October 2015.
At the same period northern Iraqi export of Oil Marketing Organization sank almost to zero from 20000 barr/day.
It’s known that Iraqi export growth was pushed by active investments made by international oil companies to southern oil fields and optimization of export scheme.
However the analysts expect a certain slowdown in 2016.
