Australia became a leader in LNG export to Asian-Oceanian countries in Q3 2015

Australia has become the largest LNG exporter in Asia in 2015.

Malaysia, the leader of 2014, fell to second place, though its LPG export grew by 1,4%.
Malaysian LNG export reached 18,4 million tons.

For nine months in 2015 Australia exported 14% more than in 2014.
LNG export turnover was 20,2 million tons.

Herewith Malaysia also buys Australian gas under the contract between Petronas and Santos.
Indonesia reduced its LNG export to 6,6% – 11,3 million tons in January – September 2015.
In Q3 2015 Asian countries imported 127 million tons of LNG, 3,5% less than for the same period in 2014.
Japan, South Korea and China also showed a drop in demand.

76% of the world demand in LNG falls at Asia.
China and India will stimulate LNG demand growth; their consumption will rise by 50% from total growth in 2016 – 2020.
