Bahrain’s King has replaced the ministry of Energy by the Ministry of Oil and the Ministry of Water and Electricity

Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has replaced the oil minister in a minor cabinet reshuffle on Friday that affected two cabinet portfolios.

Shaikh Mohammed, a member of the ruling family, was appointed the new energy minister, replacing Dr Abdul-Hussain bin Ali Mirza, who has been appointed minister of water and electricity.

Bahrain produces 200000 b/d of oil and exports 150000 b/d.
According to International Monetary Fund (IMF) Bahrain’s income from oil export will fall 70%, from 14,5 million of USD in 2014 г to 4,3 billion of USD in 2016.
Economic growth in the country in 2016 will fall for 2,2% compared to 3,2% in 2015, and state budget deficit will reach 19,9% of GDP.
Bahrain tries to cover its budget gap by refusing from state price adjustment for fuel, electricity in 2015 and rising customs duties for a number of goods.
