China and the Philippines to resume negotiations on offshore oil and gas production
The authorities of China and the Philippines will soon resume negotiations on oil and gas production on the offshore shelf. This was announced on Thursday by the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
“As for the oil and gas sector, the parties have expressed mutual agreement to resume negotiations on the development of offshore oil and gas fields as soon as possible,” the report said, published on the website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry following negotiations between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos, the youngest in Beijing.
In addition, China and the Philippines are expected to increase collaboration on clean energy projects. These include both solar, wind and nuclear power, as well as the production of green vehicles.
