China began construction of the fourth line of the West-East gas pipeline

China has officially launched the construction of the next line of the West-East main gas pipeline as part of a project to transfer gas from the west of the country to the east of the country.
Upon completion of construction, the capacity of the megaproject will reach 100 billion cbm. of natural gas per year.
Total length of the 4th string of the gas pipeline is 3.34 thousand kilometers.
The 4th West-East Gas Pipeline (WEPP) project is one of the largest natural gas transportation projects designed to supply East China’s gas by transporting it from the country’s western regions.
