Second production chain of Iranian South Pars gas field will be completed by the of coming winter

10 offshore platforms for Iranian South Pars gas field are being constructed in Iranian marine industrial company’s yard (SADRA).

Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) reported this April 15, 2018.

In this regard, phase 22 offshore deck was loaded out last month and it is being braced in its final stages. Moreover, the platform 24A is getting ready to load out as well.

Managing director of Pars Oil and Gas Company, Mohammad Meshkinfam said “the progress made in the remaining phases is acceptable. As predicted, we will witness to produce 3 billion cubic meters of gas, equivalent of 84 million cubic meters, per day if the first phase of productionchainis completed by the end of this summer”.
He also expressed hope that the second production chain will be completed by the end of this Iranian year (by the end of coming winter).

Since the beginning of South Pars development, 72 billion dollars have been invested in this field which is expected to increase to 87 billion dollars.
At present, 70 percent of the country’s gas is provided from south pars field which equates to daily production of crude oil.
