Turkey’s first FSRU opened, ready to boost energy supply security by 20M cbm daily

Expected to contribute more than 5 billion cubic meters (CBM) of natural gas to Turkey’s annual gas supply, the GDF Suez Neptune plant, Turkey’s first liquefied natural gas (LNG) Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FRSU), opened on Friday with a grand ceremony attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım and Energy and Natural Resources Minister Berat Albayrak.
During his speech at the opening ceremony of the FSRU Project (Floating LNG Terminal / Floating Storage and Regasification), President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan highlighted the remarkable contribution the facility will make to Turkey’s energy supply security.
